Skull Tattoo Design

When selecting a tattoo design it is extremely important that the design you are going to have etched on to your body is one that you will be satisfied with for the rest of your life. Don’t make a hasty decision that you may end up regretting, as the cost of having an unwanted tattoo removed is extremely expensive. Think long and hard before you visit the tattoo parlor and commit to a specific design.

Many people make the critical mistake of selecting a tattoo design on the spot, often because they are pressured by friends or influenced by the tattoo artist. It is very important that, when choosing a particular design, you consider the reactions that the design will provoke from friends, family and the public in general. So, before you go ahead and choose a particular tattoo take the time to research the meaning or symbolism behind your particular selection. These days the internet is a fabulous source for investigating the true meanings behind the many tattoo designs that are now available.

A very popular tattoo design is, for example, the skull tattoo design. There are many reasons why people, particularly guys, select this particular design, including the fact that it invokes a degree of masculinity in the wearer. This is because of the implication that the skull tattoo design relates to fear, danger and death. Are the people who choose this design actually aware of the true meaning behind the design?

The true meaning of a skull tattoo design

There is actually a more in-depth meaning to the skull tattoo designs than just fear, danger and death - and in fact it was not originally conceived as a symbol to represent any of these things. It was instead originally used to represent the symbol of ‘great change’. In analyzing what the skull tattoo design traditionally meant in ancient society we discover that it was related to the happening of great changes and it is highly probable that its association with death grew because of the fact that death is the greatest change that we will experience.

Today it is extremely unfortunate that the majority of the general public does not understand the true meaning of a skull tattoo design, and when they see it they automatically relate the symbol to fear, danger and death. A lot of conservative people loathe the design because of its perceived meaning; however, if they were aware of the true meaning behind the skull tattoo design their views may be totally different.

If you decide that the skull tattoo design is the one for you, then your next step is to choose which genre you would like to go with. As the skull tattoo designs have been around for centuries the styles have somewhat evolved over time. The styles range from the old fashioned Jolly Roger, the pirate's flag with the skull and cross bones or perhaps you would prefer the bio-mechanical style of skull - the choices are extensive and totally dependent on your personal taste.

So if you are interested in the skull tattoo design, or any other particular design, just take a little time to research the meaning symbolized by the design and if they are in alignment with your own true views then go ahead and adorn your body with this fantastic art work.

Tattoo Removal Risks by Beth Munoz

If you were to pay attention to the current popular culture trends, you would notice that body art is really in demand. There are magazines, shops, and even television shows devoted to the topic. While body art is indeed impressive and a very personal thing, there are still some people who are no longer happy with how their body art fits in with their lives.

So, those who are dissatisfied start considering the possibility of having a tattoo removal procedure done. There are many reasons why a person might want to have tattoo removal. First of all, those who have the name of an ex boyfriend or girlfriend on their body definitely don't want that to stay. Or, there are people who got a tattoo that faded over time, and would rather have tattoo removal done on it than have it re-inked.

The tattoo removal process starts with a consultation with a dermatologist who is certified to perform the tattoo removal procedure. Is the tattoo large? If so, then the removal will take longer than it would have if the tattoo was smaller. Is the tattoo old or new? The newer the tattoo is, the easier it will be to remove.

Then, there is the overall condition of the tattoo. If the patient is the kind of person who likes to stay out in the sun for long periods of time, then the chances are good that their tattoo is significantly faded. You might think that such a tattoo would be easy to remove, but the reality is that it will actually be harder to get rid of, because the pigment has dispersed throughout the skin tissue.

Additionally, the overall success of the procedure is based upon how skillfully the tattoo was applied in the first place. If the tattoo artist applied the ink evenly, then the tattoo will be much easier to get rid of than a tattoo which has ink unevenly distributed.

There are two main ways that a tattoo can be removed. The first, and most prevalent way, is to have the tattoo removed with laser tattoo removal. Basically, this means that the laser light penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis, which is where the tattoo ink resides. The ink is finely dispersed and evaporated by the intense light over a period of a few months.

The second method is a more controversial method, and is called TCA. In this method, a clear chemical is placed over the area where the tattoo is. The goal of the chemical is to basically eat away the upper epidermal layer gradually, until the tattoo is gone. Now, obviously, this is a very dangerous procedure, and it can lead to extensive scarring and allergic reactions.

No matter which of these two methods is chosen, it is very important to be aware of the risks. First of all, while a local anesthetic will be applied during each session (it will take a few sessions, by the way) it will still be painful. Those who have had the procedure done describe it as small pulses of burns. All of this is enough reason to think twice about getting a tattoo in the first place!

Celeb Tattoo - Evan Rachel Woods

The young 21 year old actress is probably most famous for her many independent films roles as well as her past relationship with Goth god himself, Marylin Manson. Evan has appeared in several movies in her short career. Evan became more well know after she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the movie Thirteen. Another love of Evan is tattoos. She has several of them, including a few that she regrets.

Below is a list of Evan's tattoos:

1. An outlined black heart on the top of her left thigh.

2. A lighting bolt inside the black heart on the top of her left thigh.

3. The letter "j" on her left ankle, which was for her ex-boyfriend Jamie Bell

4. Wood used to have a small strawberry with leaves around it in the shape of a bird. But she got it covered up after with a black diamond and some squiggle design on either side of it.

5. Evan's latest tattoo is on the bottom of her neck and it reads "All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

Evan has no problem talking about her tattoos and the meanings behind them. Here Evan explains her black heart and lighting bolt tattoo as well as her strawberry tattoo she got covered up.

"That movie (Across the Universe) changed my life. I got a freakin' tattoo on my ankle for the movie. It's strawberries, where the leaves are in the shape of a blackbird and diamonds for (Beatles song) 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.' I got to sing 'Blackbird' (in the film) and my (character) name is Lucy in the film, so I got the diamonds."

"I kind of always thought I would get a tattoo but I was waiting for something really special. This was a moment in my life I wanted to mark. I turned 18 and I was living on my own for the first time and I was in New York filming a Beatles musical. I thought it was a good time."

"It's supposed to be a strawberry with leaves in the shape of a bird, but everybody says, 'Is that a ferret sticking out of an apple?'"

"It's a lightning bolt, for David Bowie, who inspired me to act and sing, and a black heart," she says. "That was my present (from Manson). Somebody came to the house. We both got black hearts. It represents mad love."

Looking For Cute Girl Tattoos

I am going to make a quick guess and say that you've been looking for cute girl tattoos for quite some time. If you are anything like most women, you are getting bombarded by sites that plaster generic junk and cookie cutter artwork on their pages. Most of you will not even pull up "one" site that has original, quality drawn tattoo art. I know why this little problem happens, so I'm going to provide you with the easy way to find cute girl tattoos and amazing artwork for them.

What's the point of getting tattooed if you just pick some random generic piece? There's no fun in that and most people will end up regretting getting tattooed with a cookie cutter tattoo. There's not much that can be done by that point, though, because the artwork is already firmly etched on your skin. Like I said before, though, it's hard to find good, quality drawn cute girl tattoos. Do you know why?

Well, I will tell you right now. It's because the overwhelming majority of us are too reliant on search engines when looking for tattoo sites. Long story short, this does not work any more and you will see nothing but the generic artwork we were just talking about. It's getting ridiculous. There are so many copy cat sites out there now and they know that search engines pull up the sites that have lots and lots of artwork. So, instead of posting cute girl tattoos, they just grab as much cookie cutter artwork as possible, just to pull up high in search engines.

It's a real shame, because this is all most people get to see, since they don't stray away from the search engine they like to use. That's the bad news. The good news is that I know of an easy solution to this, so you can find the quality sites out there that take a lot of pride in having cute girl tattoos and amazing, original artwork. The way you find those sites is simple: You use forums. Simply put, this is going to be your best way of finding those hidden sites around the net that post great artwork.

Here's how you do it. First of all, stick with larger forums. This is where so many past topics on tattoo related subjects will be. They are in one central location and you can even click on the forum's search function to pull all of them up at once. Yo want to browse those topics because many of them will be filled with info and knowledge of the best sites for cute girl tattoos, original artwork and quality drawn tattoo designs. It's all there, right in front of you.

None of you should have to settle for cute girl tattoos that are just cookie cutter designs, because it feels so much better when you pick something you 100% like.

Here are the 3 largest, most original websites to pick from thousands of quality Cute Girl Tattoos.

Adam Woodham is the author of this article and runs the blog Quality Tattoo Art, which features the 3 top websites, with the absolute largest gallery of tattoo artwork you will ever see. Finding cute girl tattoos has never been easier.

Pisces Tattoo

Tattoos have been commonplace for the past few decades, but previously they were seen as symbols of rebellion, instability and trouble. Today, millions get inked and the possibilities for the designs they choose are endless. From loved ones names, to a depiction of your zodiac sign, the decision is yours. Pisces tattoos are popular, depicting fish tied together and representing their inner struggles, while also depicting their gentle and intuitive natures. Taking a closer look at this sign will give a better idea as to why this design is so popular.

Those born between February 20th and March 20th have the Astrological tropical zodiac sign of Pisces. The zodiac is a representation of the celestial coordinate system. Ancient scholars were convinced that a person's birth date would represent the person they were to become, due to the alignment of the stars and constellations in the solar system. There is an annual cycle of twelve areas along the path of the sun across our galaxy, passing by constellations and stars, dividing the elliptical into the twelve celestial longitudes. The sun, during its annual cycle, is aligned differently with other planets in our galaxy on a daily; similarly with other stars or constellations. In astrology, it is thought that the position of the planets, stars, and sun on your birth unify you with others born at the same time period, by sharing personality characteristics.

For Pisceans the characteristics commonly seen are varied. Traditionally they are creative, perceptive, kindhearted, giving, insightful, idealistic, and secretive. Some say they are weak willed and easily led, but others say they are sympathetic and intuitive. The general consensus, however, is that they possess a gentle and generous demeanor. They are never egotistical and they give more than they ask for. They often find themselves walked over and taken advantage of in personal relationships, and in other ways.

So why would this sign be popular in the world of tattoos? The Pisces symbol is a representation of two fish, sea horses or creatures tied together. This symbol represents a duality of the inter battle and turmoil in most Pisceans; two sides struggling with the self, making it the hardest struggle of all. This constant struggle is a perfect reason why this tattoo is so popular. The continual reminder while having it on your body may help some with their own inner battles. Even those without this sign could get the tattoo if a loved one has passed on, and to honor their memory. Kurt Cobain, Ansel Adams, Billy Crystal, and Wyatt Earp are all famous celebrities of this sign.

Other popular signs are Scorpio and Gemini because of what they represent. The zodiac sign Scorpio represents the scorpion, and characterizes them as deep, strong, and ready to strike. The zodiac sign Gemini symbolizes the twin, and yin and yang. Gemini's are able to look at both situations and be sympathetic, but to their detriment they can appear to be two people in one body, thus their representation as the numeral two. No matter what sign you are, there are depictions in tattoos that will provide you with the constant reminder of who you are, and your destiny according to the stars.

The internal struggle by those born between February 20th and March 20th often results in Pisces tattoos represented on their body; thus, the reason for the popularity. Have a desire to get inked in the future? Make sure to do your research before you make that final decision. The last thing you want to do is have to go through the painful excise or laser processes involved with getting rid of a tattoo. Go online, and search around. You're sure to find what you are looking for in online forums, communities, or specialty sites.

Bullseye Tattoos is the Internets favorite destination for downloadable tattoos. Whether your looking for Pisces tattoos or flower designs, you'll find what you need here. Visit BullseyeTattoos.com for more information.

Behind Scorpion Tattoo

As a member of the arachnid family, the scorpion has a massive amount of species. While its beginnings aren't completely known, there is evidence that they are over 400 million years old. In Greek Mythology the scorpion represents the military-like readiness, seen in its quick bite and poisonous results. Constellations have been named after scorpions, and represented in Astrology. It's no wonder that many enthusiasts today desire obtaining scorpion tattoos.

Whether a representation of your zodiac sign, Scorpio, or as a reminder that death walks with us everyday, it's presence on your skin permanently is an everyday reminder of what the creature stands for.

A sense of power and healing come from the scorpions segmented body. Many believed that they represented healing and protection for the dead. Some cultures even believed that warriors were reincarnated as half-human half-scorpion to defeat their enemies with their combating expertise. It is also believed that this creature was the reason for the death of Orion, who is now seen in the constellations. Whatever your beliefs, this creature conveys death and life, pain and healing.

Many individuals get tattoos today and often enough the meanings behind their art run beyond skin deep. Mothers mark their bodies with permanent representations of their children, loved ones, or lost ones. The daily reminder seen on your body is, to some, a truer depiction of their love and admiration. Not to mention the honor involved. Pain inflicted by the tattooing needle, the time and effort into the creation of the art, all have a lasting affect physically and mentally. Some find solace and peace resulting from their body art.

Once the decision has been made to have a depiction of this arachnid on your body, a proper representation must be found. Online resources are the best to get an idea of what you want. The Zodiac sign Scorpio could be a choice, or battling creatures, poised and ready to strike, or rising from the ashes; the options are endless. With over 2,000 different species, you might want to look for a version that you are most familiar with. There are, however, different colors, shapes, and sizes to choose from.

Online research will prove to be your best bet when finding the right representation of the arachnid. Sometimes tattoo shops will allow you to bring in your own depiction you want, but they might not be able to get the representation correctly. Therefore, look into online sources, often requiring payment, for their printable and transferable images. Print and stencil, that's all you need to do! They are easily used in a parlor and you are sure to get an exact match. There is nothing worse than getting inked, and not liking the outcome. Removal is expensive, so that's why you need to make sure your decision is a correct one. Doing proper research will ensure this.

Now for the location of the tattoo; where will you put it? The ankle, lower back, upper arm, and hip are common choices, especially for women. If your true intention is to see it everyday, then placing it on your back might not be a good idea. Some employers might be weary of employing someone with multiple tattoos visible to the public. Thinking of your future career should be taken into account. Times are changing, however, and society is starting to recognize the art in the depictions and also the overall acceptance that millions have tattoos.

Getting scorpion tattoos on your body can be your constant reminder of peace, death, and healing. Be one of the millions to get inked, and join the club! Just make sure you decide on the right depiction, because you don't want to have to go through the process of removal. It's expensive, painful, and can leave hideous scaring.
